Digital History Internship – Greensboro, NC |
Learn and apply best professional practice for community engagement and digital history. Working under the direction of the Curator of Community History and Public Programs Coordinator, the intern will assist in program planning, research, design and implementation of the 2025 Juneteenth Bike Tour, including creating a digital interpretive map. Additional responsibilities will include supporting other public programming, digital assets, and promotion of Greensboro history in the community and on social media. |
Successful applicants should be students with demonstrated skills in historical research, project organization, writing, social media, and creative thinking. Working knowledge of how digital history technology such as Clio or KnightLab story maps and/or experience with program planning and delivery are a plus. This internship is available beginning mid-May, with a flexible schedule.

This hands-on course for beginners with University Librarians will provide an overview of ArcGIS Pro, including its layout and capabilities. Topics covered will include importing geographic data, styling and symbolizing data, querying and selecting data, making basic maps, and more!
