UNC History Community,

Check out some new perspectives on digital history this week:

  1. American University’s digital history blog has published their 2021 projects, including explorations into social media and timelines as methods of digital curation.
  2. The American Historical Association explores the use of podcasts in digital history in their article “A GLIMPSE BEHIND THE CURTAIN: Pedagogical Thinking with Podcasting and Narrative.”
  3. Artificial Fibers—The Implications of the Digital for Archival Access” breaks down the challenges of moving physical collections into digital formats.
  4. Stay tuned for a series of workshops on how to implement various digital tools into your syllabi. The first one will come in early October.

Make sure to contact the Digital History Lab if there are any skills you want to learn, need support with your own digital history projects, or are interested in our blog and/or podcast!

Thanks for reading,

The DHL Team
