Dear Colleagues,
We hope you’re doing well! Here is this week’s news and events from the Digital History Lab.
- The Digital History Working Group will hold its second meeting of the year on Thursday 10/22 at 4 pm. All are invited to join as we discuss events for the coming months–email Gabe (gwmoss@live.unc.edu) to RSVP. Upcoming workshops include a tutorial on Twine (a platform for building text-based, narrative games) and a workshop on digital tools for organizing your research.
- The Davis Library Research hub is offering a training on Zotero, a useful bibliography- and research-management program, on Tuesday 10/20 at 4 pm. Details and registration are here.
- As always, the DHL welcomes contributors to our Teaching History Online blog. If you have teaching techniques that have served you especially well in the COVID era, let us know–we’d love to help you share them.
- DH news, resources, and opportunities online:
-
- George Mason University is hiring an Assistant Professor in Digital History. The position will work closely with the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media.
- Ashley Bowen, editor of Perspectives in History, has published a column on “New Angles on Digital History”
As always, contact us with questions and ideas about how the DHL may better serve the department atdhl@unc.edu.
